Donald Trump and Elon Musk had a long conversation and it’s blowing up the Internet. People on the right side of politics embraced the conversation and enjoyed it. People on the left side of politics freaked out – even though most of them likely didn’t listen to the conversation at all. Much of the left-wing media was busy posting anti-Trump and anti-Elon articles, saying it was a flop, making fun of their technical difficulties, and even one headline suggested that both men were struggling social media entrepreneurs.
Here’s some facts. Over 1 million people tried listening to the conversation while it was live, which shows they are clearly not ‘struggling’ for viewers by any means. After they got through the technical difficulties of trying to host a million concurrent users, the recorded conversation would be posted on X where it eventually received a billion listens/plays. If anything, that is absolutely remarkable. It’s like X was able to compete with major news outlets, reaching a ton of people, and letting people see two well-known men having a simple conversation. That’s all it was, just a conversation. If people on the left side of politics are mad about Americans enjoying a conversation, then maybe they should open their mind and listen to the conversation instead of automatically disliking it.
