Famous Actor Launches Olympics Boycott After Anti-Christian Ceremony

Popular conservative actor and comedian Rob Schneider has come out and obliterated the Paris 2024 Olympics for the egregious opening ceremony that featured an offensive mockery of the Last Supper. The performance took some serious heat on Friday after one segment of the program featured a fashion parade and lewd dancing across the Debilly Footbridge that crosses over the River Seine. This part of the show was led by DJ Barabara Butch who was dressed as a goddess topped with a halo of stars, with several others draped on either side of her during the performance.

The Paris 2024 Olympic Organizing Committee claims that the bridge was “transformed into the venue for a gigantic banquet for the evening.” However, it looked like a blasphemous recreation and mockery of the Last Supper, a famous work of art created by Renaissance painter and inventor Leonardo da Vinci. The work depicts the Lord Jesus Christ along with His disciples celebrating Passover on the night before He was crucified. It’s also the same night He instituted Communion or the Eucharist, which is a central part of Christian worship for many denominations.

Schneider criticized the performance as being disrespectful to Christianity and those who practice the religion. “I am sorry to say to ALL the world’s GREATEST ATHLETES, I wish you ALL THE BEST, but I cannot watch an Olympics that disrespects Christianity and openly celebrates Satan. I sincerely hope THESE@Olympics get the same amount of viewers as@cspan,” the Deuce Bigalow actor stated in a post published on X, formerly known as Twitter.

According to Newsweek, a spokesperson representing Paris 2024 stated that Thomas Jolly, the opening ceremony’s director “has said on several occasions, ‘The opening ceremony has been conceived as a celebration of togetherness and tolerance.’”

“You will never find in my work any desire to mock or denigrate anyone. I wanted to create a ceremony that would repair, reconcile, and reaffirm the values that are those of our Republic,’” Jolly stated through the spokesperson. Schneider is not the only high-profile celebrity to come out against the shameful opening ceremony performance.

Former co-host and trainer on “The Biggest Loser,” Jillian Michaels, weighed in on the spectacle in a social media post of her own, saying, “Dear fellow gays… We demand tolerance and respect but then make a mockery of something sacred for over 2 billion Christians. This type of hypocrisy and lack of understanding is a bad look. We get outraged when the extreme right bashes us, but then we do this s***. What kind of reaction do you think they will have toward the LGBTQ+ community after this. This is NOT how we break down barriers it’s how you build them.”

Caitlyn Jenner, formerly Bruce Jenner, who was a decathlete champion, got involved in the conversation over the controversial opening ceremony, shrugging off claims made by the segment’s defenders that it was all a tribute to the Feast of Dionysus, who was the Ancient Greek god depicted during the performance by the individual who was covered in blue paint. “Not really seeing how the opening ceremony image was more like this Greco feast as opposed to a more blatant mockery of da Vinci’s Last Supper…” Jenner first stated in a post on X, before adding, “As an Olympian and a Christian (and you don’t have to be either to see the absurdity here) I am outraged.”

Country music singer John Rich also declared he would not be watching the Olympic Games this year following the divisive segment, and asked his followers in a poll if they would be watching. Of the almost 20,000 votes, 96.4 percent replied ‘no way!’” Newsweek reported. ” Rich also shared a link to one of his songs called ‘Revelation.’ “Here is the counter to the demonic opening of the Olympics. Pass THE WORD. #REVELATION,” Rich captioned the video.

Candace Cameron Bure, most famous for her role in Full House as DJ Tanner, also slammed the opening ceremony by stating on Instagram, “It felt too important not to [speak up] and I love the Olympic Games, I love them. My husband [Val Bure] is a two-time Olympic medalist, so is my brother-in-law, and my father-in-law is a three-time Olympic medalist. I have many friends that have competed in Games over the years and it’s something as a kid I have always loved … the Olympic Games have always brought me so much joy.”
