Passenger Sends Heart-Wrenching Selfie To Family Moments Before Fatal Brazil Plane Crash

In a tragic and haunting twist, a 23-year-old passenger aboard the ill-fated VoePass Flight 2283 sent a final, somber selfie to her family just before the plane crashed on August 9th, killing all 61 people on board. The crash, which occurred in a gated community near Vinhedo, has left the nation reeling.

Rosana Xavier, who was traveling from Cascavel to São Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport, sent a series of troubling messages to her family shortly after takeoff. In her texts, shared by her grieving mother, Rosemeire Xavier, Rosana expressed her fear and unease about the flight. “Man, two hours of flight,” she wrote, noting the old condition of the plane and a broken seat. “Chaos,” she added, before sending a final selfie that captured her evident distress.

The tragedy unfolded when the twin-engine turboprop plummeted into a residential area, narrowly missing homes but claiming all lives aboard. Emergency responders retrieved Debose’s body after an extensive search, which lasted into the early hours of the next day. Despite the severe impact of the crash, no one on the ground was injured.
