Following the end of the Blue Bloods series in June, Tom Selleck was seen going for a workout at Thousand Oaks and looking rough in an all-black gym outfit. He rocked comfy high-waisted shorts as he trotted the streets in a pair of Brooks running shoes.
Tom’s salt-and-pepper hair complemented his signature facial hair, which he has been tending to in the last few months. With the sudden axing of the Blue Bloods, Tom is reportedly taking a break with his wife, Jillie Mack, on their 65-acre California ranch.

Tom has openly expressed his displeasure over the conclusion of Blue Bloods, where he plays NYPD police commissioner Frank Reagan, and hoped the decision makers at CBS would have a rethink. It appears there is no going back on the drama series cancellation, as no other episode will air after season 14 ends in October.

Tom also mentioned being at risk of faltering on bills due to the show’s end, despite earning up to $200,000 per episode amongst other income sources. He told correspondent Tracy Smith on an episode of CBS Sunday Mornings that his current income may not sustain his long-term retirement on the ranch.
Looking on the bright side
Tom has managed to find a silver lining in the loss of his Blue Bloods gig, noting that it is an avenue to spend more time with Jillie and slow down on his busy life. A source revealed that the elderly couple have maintained their loving relationship, and love spending quality time with each other.
Tom has yet to become a grandfather and hopes his daughter, Hannah, gets married soon enough. Hannah is an excellent horse rider, with a horse jumping career Tom is supportive of. Tom’s regular shuttle back and forth from the East Coast to film Blue Bloods has now come to a halt while he explores an unfamiliar, less busy schedule.
